Grain – Liquid per cup of grain/cooking time/yield in cups

Grains are usually done stove top or for less maintenance in a rice cooker! 🙂 Always rinse your grains and look for small stones.

If you use a rice cooker, just pour grain it in, rinse it, add your liquid and turn it on since they have a sensing technology. 

Amaranth – 2.5 / 25 minutes / 2.5 cups  

Buckwheat – 2 / 15 minutes / 2.5 cups

Coixseed/ Job’s Tears – cover with water / 45 minutes / 1 cup (I haven’t tried this yet in a rice cooker) 

Cornmeal/Grits – 3 / 20 minutes / 3.5 cups

Millet – 2.5 / 20 minutes / 3 cups

Oats – 

Steel Cut – 3 / 30-40 minutes / 3 cups

Groats – 3 / 60 minutes / 3 cups

Rolled – 3 / 10 minutes / 3 cups

Quick – 2 / 5 minutes / 2 cups

Polenta – 3 / 10 minutes / 3 cups

Quinoa – 2 / 20 minutes / 2.5 cups

Teff – 3 / 20 minutes / 1.5 cups
